"I am a Pakistani woman who was raised in Saudi Arabia. I have a green passport and wear a hijab. Because of all this, flying is hell for me. On European Airlines, flight attendants are rude to me. At the airport, I get sent for an additional security check as soon as I pull out my passport. I was once prevented from boarding an aircraft bc I made white ppl uncomfortable. Once, at the Toronto airport, a security officer asked my sis if they could put their hands inside her pants to check if she's hiding anything underneath them.
People on flights can be very rude too. I'm only 5'1 and need help putting my luggage in the overhead compartment but very rarely do people offer to help me, especially on European flights. I've been flying while brown for almost 19 years now and honestly, it just gets worse every year."
